Walk in the P.A.R.C.

John Goodyear, Capturing Moments in the PARC

John Goodyear was born in Toronto and now lives in St. Catharines. His love of photography started at the age of fourteen when he and his best friend were photographed with a Polaroid camera at a retail store. He still has that photograph.

"I like to think that some of my father's artistic talent has rubbed off on me. Although I couldn't draw a circle to save my life, I use some of the same principles of art in my photography". An artist will use paint, color and texture. A photographer uses light, shutter speeds, apertures and film speeds to capture moments in time.

"Some would consider my full time job as a radio broadcaster interesting but my adrenaline really flows when I'm off the air and in the woods with the wildlife. There's a special feeling when a bear, or a buck, allow you into their space...a bond... almost, even if only for a moment!"
