  THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES is based on the equations and data contained in
  the widely acclaimed two-volume work Applied Hydrocarbon Thermodynamics by
  W.C.Edmister. TPPS contains databank of thermodynamic properties for more
  than 200 hydrocarbons , 9 non- gases plus carbon and sulfur. For each
  components in the databank there are 25 data entries relating to proper
  constants.

  TPPS will divide petroleum fractions into 11 or 21 pseudocomponents and
  estimate the physical properties required for equilibrium predictions.
  Mixtures of these discrete and pseudocomponents and/ or hypothetical
  components of petroleum prepared externally can be the feed to these
  equilibrium analysis.

  TPPS accepts mixtures containing up to 30 components. It covers single-
  stage vapor liquid equilibrium processes such as bubble points , dew points
  and flashes , simulation of gas compression and flow of compressible fluids
  including enthalpy and entropy calculations and balances , thermodynamics
  of chemical reactions to determine the equilibrium product distributions
  and heats of reactions ; and absorption and distillation processes.
