QUANTUM NUMBERS (IBM and MacIntosh) CAT.# 010-C06-00

QUANTUM NUMBERS teaches what numbers are , how they are related to energy
levels and how they govern the placement of electron' in atoms.
Written by a chemical teacher. Suitable for tenth grade high school through
College. Students compete with each other to make the top ten fastest list
writing the electron configurations of test atoms.

The PRINCIPLE SECTION introduces the definitions , concepts and the theory
of QUANTUM NUMBERS. Includes a glossary , relative energy levels , pictures
of electron orbitals and the important AUFBAU ORDER of filling the electron
  shells.

The PRACTICE SECTION lets the student pick an element and then write its
electron quantum numbers. Error-checking feedback prepares a student for
  testing.

The TEST SECTION measures and saves each student's speed and accuracy in
writing electron configurations. It asks a student to write the quantum
numbers of 5 randomly selected elements of increasing atomic number. Two
pop-up tables are available : a list of the inert element shells and a
summary of the AUFBAU order. A student can practice the test anonymously.

Finally , a MAINTENANCE SECTION lets the instructor review the top-ten list
and the log of all tests taken.

Make sure to specify for IBM for PC or for MacIntosh.
