FEEDBACK LINEAR SYSTEMS SIMULATOR (IBM & compatibles) CAT.# 151-D01-36
FEEDBACK is a linear control-systems analysis package. The control system
under study is described by the various poles, zeroes, and gains. FEEDBACK
then calculates the open- and closed-loop gain, open-loop phase, and error
responses as a function of frequency. Also provided are the gain and phase
margin (for stability). In addition, the transient responses to impulse,
step, ramp, or pulse inputs are available.
You have complete control over the various parameters in the system, such as
frequency range, phase units sweep time (transient analysis), pulse width,
etc.
The system description can be saved to disk, recalled, edited, and so on. The
results may be listed or plotted (e.g., BODE plots) on the screen, sent to
your printer, or saved on disk (bit map dump).
FEEDBACK can also treat systems in which the feedback signal is not
continuous, but is sampled at equal intervals.
Great care has been taken to make FEEDBACK as easy to use as possible.
Pull-down menus are used whenever possible (a mouse is supported, but not
necessary), and the system is heavily error trapped to guard against input
errors. You can be up and running in minutes. However, we suggest that you
read the manual and review the examples which are provided.
FEEDBACK requires MS DOS 2.0 (or higher), 256K of RAM, and a color graphics
card (e.g., CGA, EGA Hercules).
