  CADS is a complete computer-aided design system for the Apple. It includes an
  extensive drawing system (CADDRAW), the most powerful and complete utility
  for creating new symbols (CADDRAW SYMBOL MAKER/EDITOR), and a powerful
  high-resolution printer dump (by Beagle Bros.).

  CADDRAW is currently used in thousands of drafting classrooms. It is simple
  enough for 7th graders to learn, yet powerful enough to do real scale
  drawings up to 12" by 16".

  Drawing Features:

  * Use keyboard, joystick, Koala Pad , Apple Mouse , Versawriter Graphics
    Tablet, or Gibson Light Pen for the cursor-movement input device.
  * Freehand sketching of lines or continuous plotting of symbols.
  * On-screen  menus,  command  summaries, and prompting.
  * Vertical move. Automatic Y-coordinate placement of cursor in isometric or
    cabinet mode. Makes pictorials easy in any scale.
  * Scroll between the two drawing pages. Scroll up, down, left, or right.
  * Snap: Input devices will snap to the nearest 1/8", 1/4", or any
    increment.
  * Scale printouts of your drawings on an 80-column (normal size) or larger
    printer.
  * Keyboard Takeover: Get close with your joystick, etc., and then use the
    arrow keys to zero in on the point you want.
  * Nine Scales: Full, 1 1/2"=1", Metric, 1/24"=1'-0", 1/8"=1'-0",1/4"=1'-0",
    1/2"=1'-0", 1"=1'-0"
  * Auto-center 2-D and 3-D drawings.
  * Use all 8 high-resolution colors.
  * On-screen measurement readouts as you move the cursor.
  * Layer: View both pages while drawing on just page 1 .
  * Grid: Place or erase a grid on the drawing page.
  * Easy-to-remember commands.
  * Mirror Full: Flip a drawing left-to-right.
  * Mirror Left: Draw half an object on the left side and mirror it onto the
    right side.
  * Plot or erase a line between any two points.
  * Nine line weights are available.
  * Preview lines, arcs, and boxes.
  * Plot solid, dashed (hidden), center, section, and any other type of line.
  * Draw regular polygons with no limit on the number of sides.
  * Draw arcs, circles, elliptical arcs, and ellipses either horizontally or
    vertically.
  * Work with up to 10 symbols at one time. Great for arranging furniture on
    a floor plan.
  * Use any of the over 700 symbols included: 43 standard, 93 quarter-inch
    architectural, 93 eighth-inch architectural, 80 eighth-inch furniture, 43
    landscape, 40 one-inch typical section, 21 electrical, 48 plumbing, 70
    electronic, 31 flowchart, and more!
  * Write proportional text in 4 directions.
  * Full character set including lower case, even for the Apple II+.

  Symbol features include:
  * Capture any symbol or any part of a drawing from any Hi-Res drawing.
  * Put up to 255 symbols in each table.
  * Block an area of the screen, or auto-follow a line symbol, or manually
    trace a symbol, or use all 3 methods combined!
  * Create new table, or add, replace, delete, or relocate any symbol within
    a table.
  * Merge tables (up to 6K).


  Printer dump features (Beagle Bros. Triple Dump):
  * Hi-Res and double Hi-Res dot-for-dot printing, with cropping and
    rotating.
  * Converts Lo-Res colors into shades of gray for printing.
  * Eight-inch-high character banner generator (an extra goody).
  * Can dump to any graphics-capable printer.

  As you can see, this is quite a CAD system!

  The following printers are capable of accurate scale drawings (others may not
  be accurate): Apple Dot Matrix, Imagewriter, Scribe; Centronics 739; Epson
  MX-80, 100, RX-80, FX-80; Okidata Microline 84, 92, 93;  Panasonic KX-P1091,
  2;Smith-Corona  D100,  D200, D300; Star Delta, Gemini, or Radix 10 or 15;
  TRS-80 DMP Model 400.

  Includes manuals for each of the three major system parts (60, 31, and 40
  pages respectively). Works with DOS 3.3 and PRODOS, 48K or 64K systems.
