  DATACAD 128 is a high-powered computer-aided design package for the
  architect, contractor, home designer, or remodeler. It efficiently carries
  you from initial site design work and 3D perspectives to your final set of
  working drawings. It is ideal for those situations which may involve several
  design iterations before the final plans are approved. In addition, the
  printed/plotted plans are of high quality and can form the basis for
  impressive presentations to clients.

  Suffice it to say that DATACAD 128 includes all of the features you would
  expect in a sophisticated CAD system for architects. In fact, it is virtually
  identical to the full (and very expensive) DATACAD system produced by CADKEY,
  except for the maximum data file size (128K).  This limits you to structures
  on the order of small houses. However, there is no reason why you could not
  break up your design into sections!

  One of the excellent features of this package is the manual which is supplied
  with the software (8 disks!). It is over 270 pages long and is published by
  TAB. This book takes a very tutorial approach to the use of the software, and
  is ideal for those unfamiliar with CAD systems. Every aspect is covered, from
  detailing to choosing perspectives . Also, the furniture and residence
  libraries depicted in the book are included on accompanying data disks.

  Because of the impressive flexibility of this package, the rest of this
  description is devoted to requirements and interfacing capabilities.

  Requirements: IBM AT, PS/2, or compatible; 640K RAM; math coprocessor; hard
  disk (20 meg or larger recommended); and a mouse or digitizer (see below).
  If you are using a plotter (see below), then two serial ports are needed (one
  for the mouse and one for the plotter).
