  This program uses an interface like hypercard. Topics are selectable from a
  menu or you can investigate one after the other in sequence.
  It generates many type of sound waves for exploration and play. The program
  can play and show FOURIER ANALYSIS of triangle , square and sawtooth waves.

  You can explore the range of HUMAN HEARING. The computer generates a sound at
  one frequency while you adjust it to the minimum audible level. Plot this
  minimum level at several frequencies and you have a real hearing test.

  Two sounds at close frequencies generate BEATS at the difference between the
  TWO frequencies. Either frequency can be adjusted and either sound can be
  turned on and off.

  THE DOPPLER EFFECT demonstration lets you change the velocity of source or
  observer while the computer plays the Doppler-shifted sound.
  A RESONANCE demonstration let you adjust the lengths of open and closed
  tubes. Either change the source frequency or the tube lengths to search for
  resonances.

  HAVE FUN WITH SOUNDS lets you pick from 9 types of sound sources. Then play a
  scale or music with the source or look at its waveform. A barking dog can be
  your musical instrument !
