James
Cameron's Movie "Titanic" won 11 Oscars and continues its record breaking
voyage by making box office history. This romantic 3-hour historic thriller
captured the hearts and emotions of many.everybody
and said, "Here, give me a big stone and I will drop it down. Let's see
what will happen." He dropped the stone and everybody listened and waited.
They listened and waited some more. No sound came. It was a bottomless pit!
It dawned on me that we are a bit like the Titanic, sailing
through high seas of life on our maiden voyage. Some of us steam ahead full-throttle
in hopes that we can make record time to the other shore. We crisscross
life's ocean, heedless that someday an iceberg may suddenly make us aware
of our humanity.
You
may not know that icebergs are only 10% visible. The remaining 90% lies
below the surface making contact most probable. As collision occurs, life
rivets begin to pop and unraveling ensues. Your iceberg may be the stain
of abuse, the loss of a partner, an accident, or financial jeopardy. These
disasters make our vessel list, causing chaos and pandemonium as we scramble
for lifeboats, too few in number. |

I encourage you to jump your ship and enter the warm ocean of
God's love. As Captain, He has arranged a Life Preserver. His name is Jesus
Christ, and He died on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our
God can rearrange your ship and cause it to sail under His direction, toward
hope and a bright future.
Prayer is talking with God. If you have never done so,
please talk to the Captain now and pray this prayer in your heart:
A
Prayer:
"God, I need You as Captain of my ship. I cannot steer in the
darkness of my life. I give you my life and receive your Son Jesus
as my "Life Preserver," my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving
my sins and giving me hope and a future. Take control of my ship and
make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen." |
