There
are many names that have meanings behind them. Parents name their new-born
babies with a name that quite often has a special meaning.
In
the first book of the Bible, Genesis 5:1 describes some names of people
starting with Adam. These 11 names may seem bland but they take on a special
meaning when put together. They are the first 11 names of the specific people
that fulfilled roles worth mentioning translated from the Hebrew language.

If
we put all the meanings of the names together, we get.... "Man, life, appointed,
mortal, sorrow, the blessed God, shall come down, teaching, His death shall
bring, the despairing, rest or comfort." |
|
Or
paraphrasing... "Man was given life but selected mortal sorrow. Yet, the
blessed God shall come down teaching that His death shall bring rest to
the despairing."
In a most unusual way, God is telling you that He sent
His Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal rest
and comfort. Man chose to go his own selfish way but God provided a solution
for man.
